Our Leaders

Pastor/Lead Teaching Elder:

Bernie Norman

Married to:  Gale
Hobbies:  Spending time with my grandchildren, spending time in God's Word, and spending time with our family and friends!
Why I am a pastor:  To set others free!
Thoughts: There is no greater joy in my life than knowing God and experiencing His love for me each day. I have been forgiven much over the years, and as a result, I have learned to love much. I have found that sharing His love with others is the greatest privilege a man could ever have in his lifetime. I have also learned that the greatest roles I will ever possess in this world as a man are those of husband, father, and grandfather.

Bernie and Gale previously were staff with Family Life in Arkansas, a national ministry for biblically-based marriages and families. Bernie also served as a pastor in Rhode Island for many years. Bernie and Gale are still active supporters of Family Life ministries, which is a great resource for Christian-based family life in the world today.

Why I am a Deacon: I love our church family. I believe in the leadership team and proud to be a part of it. I believe in our constant goal to spread the news to others about the love of our Savior Jesus Christ
Thoughts: We are all special to the Lord and each one of us has a special gift to offer. "Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." - Matthew 9:37-38

Deacon/Worship Leader:

Tim Norman

Married to: Gillian
Hobbies: Writing music, spending time with my family, reading
Why I am a Worship Leader: There is nothing better than glorifying God and nothing more rewarding than seeing Him work among His people. It is such a blessing to be able to serve Creation Church.
Thoughts: Worship is contagious. I don't think there is much that thrills the heart of God more than hearing his children sing out to Him straight from their hearts. Jesus has made a way for us to praise God 24/7 for all eternity. Let's start today!

Believers

That’s what Christianity is about—it’s to build a relationship with God. His greatest desire is for us to know Him. Because once you know God, you’ll do what He asks you to, not because you want to, but you do it because you want to please your Father. Just as a child wants to please mom and dad.

I gave my life to Jesus in 1999. It was a service at church on the West Coast, where they said, if you have not ever asked Jesus in your heart, physically, verbally, you can do it, but don’t have to do it now. Later that night when I got off of work, sitting in my bedroom, and just thinking about it before going to bed, that’s when I did the physical act: I got on my knees, repented, and asked Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior.
